2025 Boothbay Harbor Treasure Hunt Rules and Regulations
- Lighthouse Education & Nautical Studies (LENS) is sponsoring this event for the benefit of AOS#98’s place-based learning programs for local school children.
- Registration is only available online at this website (lighthouseeducation.org)
- The registration (donation) fee to the nonprofit organization (LENS) is $10 per participant. This supports camperships and experiential learning opportunities for local school children.
- All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. A stroller is suggested for small children.
- The hunt is about a mile long, but there are plenty of places to sit and rest along the way. It is not a race and it can be completed over the course of a couple of days, if desired.
- The first destination site #1 and the last site #7, may require a brief interaction with the shopkeeper, however, the remaining sites are pretty much self-serving.
- If possible, complete the contact information section on the bottom of the map’s clue section before you enter the store at Clue #7 in order to streamline the process for your reward and the map’s deposit in the large Treasure Chest for end-of-season Grand Prize Drawings.
- All registered (paid) participants will receive a chance to win. LENS receives notification of your registration payment and will generate the proper number of chances after receiving your completed map – 7 clues stamped, each with a site-specific image.
